Principal’s Message….
The year is speeding past as we are almost to March!  Students continue to make growth academically and socially here at Elysian.

The rest of February will be busy here at school. The school spelling bee with be held for fifth through eighth grade students on Tuesday, February 21 at 1pm.  From this we will send our Local winners to the county Spelling Bee on March 10th.  Also on February 23rd from 6 to 7PM we will be having our Science Invention Convention to showcase all of our student’s amazing science inventions and projects. It has been so exciting to see all of the inventions and projects as they are taking shape and coming together for next week.  It should be a great night!

Everyday I continue to be amazed by all of our wonderful students, staff and parents. I feel truly blessed to be a part of Elysian and look forward to where we are going as a school!

Sincerely,

Lucas Larson

Superintendent/Principal

Child Development Clinic

The child developmental clinic for the Canyon Creek, Elysian, Elder Grove, Molt, Morin, Pryor, Independent, Broadview and Blue Creek School Districts is scheduled for Friday, February 24, 2012.  Please contact the Canyon Creek School secretary at 656-4471 to set up an appointment.  This clinic will be held at Canyon Creek School.

This screening provides parents with information about typical development for children ages infant to six years old (not yet in Kindergarten).  It also aids in identifying children who may be at risk for future learning problems or may just need a little extra support in their development.

Each child will be screened individually in the areas of fine and gross motor development, cognitive development (thinking, reasoning, and overall readiness), speech and language development, hearing, general health and vision (3-6 years old).  There are free services available for those children who may need that extra support in their development.

All children ages birth thru six years of age who live in your community are welcome!!!

**Appointments are necessary for this free clinic**

For your child to complete the clinic it takes approximately 1.5 hours.

Questions about this clinic can be directed to the YWCCSS Coop Office at 628-7903
