Elysian school is hosting our annual holiday music programs on Thursday, December 15th and Friday, December 16th! Students will be performing in the commons area and will be divided by grades as such:
Thursday, December 15th
1st/2nd Grade: 1:45
3rd and 4th Grade: 2:30
Friday, December 16th
5th Grade Band and Ukuleles: 1:00
6th-8th Grade Band and Choir 2:00
K-4th Grade students should wear nice clothes that include holiday colors. As the 3rd and 4th grade students are doing a show about multicultural holidays, they can wear an outfit that is specific to their cultural heritage if they prefer. All clothing must be school appropriate.
5th-8th Grade students are expected to wear a nice plain white shirt and black pants or skirt with black shoes. All clothing must be school appropriate. I recommend that girls do not wear high heels. Please do not spend lots of money on this outfit. A trip to Goodwill would suffice. There is also a Free Store at Evangelical United Methodist Church (345 Broadwater Ave.) on the first and third Saturday of every month from 10 AM-12:30. Families can get up to 16 items for free every time they come.
We are also setting out cookies in the cafeteria so kids can get a treat after their performance. If you would like to bring a batch of cookies to share, that would be much appreciated!
Thank you for all that you do for your children and our school! We are truly blessed!
