Montana State Funding allows schools to bus students to and from school that meet the
following criteria (Eligible Riders):
-The student must reside at least 3 miles from the nearest operating public school or
school bus stop.
-The student is considered to reside with his or her parent or guardian who maintains
legal residence within the boundaries of the district furnishing the transportation
In past years, Elysian School has been able to pick up Ineligible Riders (students living inside 3
miles of the school) on the way back to the school after dropping off or picking up Eligible
riders. With the growing number of Ineligible Riders, this has become more of a difficult task.
If you are able to drive your child to and from school, Elysian has set up the following drop off
and pick up zones to help with the congestion at the school as well:
– K – 3 rd Grade in the front of the school off of Elysian Road
– 4 th – 8 th Grade in the gym parking lot off of East Lane
If you are able to drive your student and live within the 3 mile limit, this will help alleviate the
number of students on the bus. Thank you.
We’ve had several requests to make our website easier to view on a mobile device so the information isn’t as compressed. The option has always been there but might not be obvious. Near the top of the page is a toggle button to either show the side bar or hide it. This simple push of a button will make the pages easier to read. See the pictures below showing both options & a red circle around the toggle button.
